Displaying Content outside of the Sidebar with the_widget

Really handy the_widget allows to display content stored in the database anywhere within your WordPress theme template files by using one of the set parameters (The widget’s PHP class name) that are core to WordPress template tags.

the_widget Examples:

Calendar widget to display a calendar.

Recent Comments widget to display to a list of recent comments, which by default will show a list of 5.
