Canberra Design Agencies – Freelance Designer

Its been quiet some time since I lived and worked in Canberra. So long in fact that some of my original favourite design studios have either faded away or been taken over in a nice way.

I still have it in the pipeline to approach some of the newer design agencies in Canberra to seek out some freelance work. First things first though I need to revisit and see what good design agencies are there these days, one that I like the look (by that I mean gell with their design approach) and level of their  design work.

Over the last year I have worked as a web freelance designer for a couple of Canberra companies/ businesses.

Below is a list of Canberra design agencies that I like their design work with both web (digital) and print. When time permits I will approach these design studios to see if they require the services of a website freelance designer or a graphic design freelancer.

Swell Design Group

When I was studying design back in 2001 Swell Design Group (maybe a name change since then) was a stand out studio. I remember having a studio visit and was excited by the design that was being done and also the culture of the studio. Located in Griffith Canberra.

CRE8IVE

Another design studio in Canberra that I looked up to in the days of training, always imapressed with the level of thier work. By the look of their portfolio CRE8IVE still look solid in what they produce. Located right in the heart of Canberra.

Inklab

Well what to say, they love ping-pong :). Their work looks solid, at the top of the game while still being highly creative. Looks like a small but tight studio. Located in Canberra – Fyshwick area.

Working with David McDonald, a Melbourne freelance website developer, I was responsible for the design of the user interface of the About ABC website.

Working for SNEPO, a Sydney based design agency as a freelance web designer. I was responsible for the redesign of Stockland’s children’s website along with the user interface of a number of online games.
